Election of the Board

The Bylaws direct that SOFNA shall be governed by an elected Board of Directors. The Board shall consist of seven to eleven directors, including officers. Elections are usually held in September for Board Members who take office in January of the following year.

Election of Officers

One of the first official acts of the new board, upon assuming office in January, is to elect officers from among its members. The Bylaws contemplate four officers: president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. The Board may, at its discretion, also appoint various Committee chairs.
